I love you so much that I won't buy you a present

When we load ourselves with an excessive number of objects - we become their slaves. As a consequence, they stop serving us, but we begin to serve them. We work hard to earn on new shelves and wardrobes, and finally on a larger apartment, which instead of a house will only become a warehouse to accommodate an increasing number of items. Our country is undergoing a phase of narcotic intoxication by consumption and a deep conviction that what separates us from a beautiful and happy life is possession. Obtaining financial resources for obtaining a large number of material goods is an absolute priority. This thinking system is practiced by many people without thinking.
Fortunately, there are voices of opposition that try to provoke discussions about the "religion of consumption." One such voice is MINIMALISMAnd there is no better time to get to know him better than Christmas, during which people think less and less about the birth of God, and more and more about the great orgy of consumption. The traveler never envies a larger suitcase. It's a perfect description of life minimalism because life is a journey. And it's a very dangerous journey. That is why we protect ourselves with all possible means. As a result, we travel with enormous luggage.
We feel safer, but at the same time we become incredibly tired and stressed. Traveling instead of giving us pleasure - becomes unbearable torture.
I often stress that minimalism is not asceticism, but the awareness that living with less luggage is more pleasant. To better visualize this, I compare the awareness of having the right number of objects to the awareness of having the right number of kilograms of our body. Minimalism does not say: be thin as a chip. Minimalism says we have a tendency to gain weight and a tendency to excess, so let's be careful. When we load ourselves with an excessive number of objects - we become their slaves. As a consequence, they stop serving us, but we begin to serve them. We work hard to earn on new shelves and wardrobes, and finally on a larger apartment, which instead of a house becomes only a warehouse to accommodate an increasing number of items
Some of them will buy anyway. Why? Because he loves you and in a consumer world he knows no other way to show his feelings. Because he thinks that happiness can only be achieved through possession, and he wants to give you happiness. But the adventure with minimalism will show you many undiscovered truths about today's world. And maybe then you will start showing others that you can live differently.
